The release of ‘Aladin’ brings the Bollywood’s most prominent figure in the history of Indian cinema Amitabh Bachchan, to Encounter. This is not all, Big B also opens up to Omar Qureshi about his son, Abhishek, his wishes, about his work and his views on the internet and Bollywood. The much talked about Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Aladin’ released on October 30th, 2009. From the land of myths and legends, India, comes a fantasy adventure for the entire family, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Amitabh Bachchan stars as genie Genius who is desperate to grant Aladin Chatterjee, played by Riteish Deshmukh, 3 wishes and seek the end of his contract with the Magic Lamp. However, life takes a u-turn when Aladin is faced by a threat from the Ringmaster, Sanjay Dutt. Compared to other roles it was a fun-oriented role where he had to wear a wig and the long robe. However, the straight-faced Bachchan also speaks about the internet as a fabulous medium to connect with people. With India’s population on the rise, the internet is the best way to network with the population. The fallout with the media drew him to Blogs and Twitter; this helped him to reach out to the fans. He is optimistic about Abhishek and his upcoming film ‘Ravaana’ by Mani Ratnam. He would like to work as long as he has the health and the will.
