The eagerly awaited romantic-comedy ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi with heartthrobs Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor have once again given their product a kind of sophistication that is their hallmark. Ramesh Taurani, the producer of ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ knows the pulse of his audience; and says that today’s audience is exposed to Hollywood films and is keen to borrow a similar sheen for the local fare. Hence, a good-looking film is like a magnet that draws an audience. Katrina Kaif reveals what would be her ideal romantic date. If you thought of taking this dream girl on a candle light dinner, with music playing in the background and presenting her flowers, forget it. This Bollywood actress would rather do something fun like going out for a mad film, which would make her laugh rather than gazing into each other eyes. Quite a different take from the romantic film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ that will be released on 6th November. ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, may not have the most amazing choreographed moves but according to Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor has definitely made easy steps look stylish. Even though Katrina Kaif danced to one song in the film, she gets five-on-five. The song where she had to look attractive, she succeeded. Ranbir finds Katrina to be a fine dancer and knows that she has worked her way to it. But what does the audience think? Specifics are irrelevant because Santoshi is not aiming for realism here. This is a cheerfully artificial world, in which Prem, played by Ranbir, lives with his parents. Comedy has always been his main forte as his ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ has achieved cult status in last 15 years. Here he has balanced both romance and comedy very well. BS282
